I bought an Apple and they sent me a lemon instead…
After finally giving in and buying my first Macbook Pro I got it today and within less than 8 hours of having it the damn thing decided to crap out. It froze up during a basic function trying to render a video and was unresponsive, then shut down on its own and wouldn’t turn back on for a while. I managed to get it back on and it seemed slower. Only going to reinforce why I’ve never wasted my money on one of those POSs before. I’m taking it back as soon as I can and getting my money back. First Mac = last Mac.
But there’s more important things going on right now than shitty ass computers. I’ve been fortunate enough to get in touch with all of my friends and family in Japan after the recent earthquake and tsunami disasters. Unfortunately they are still dealing with rolling power outages and a possible nuclear disaster. I feel so helpless being so far away, unable to help the victims and search and rescue efforts. All this hate and ignorance towards Japanese during this time of need is truly unnecessary and I hope those people get educated and become sensitive to others…but I doubt that’ll ever happen, there will always be idiots in the world.
So this stupid ass computer is a minute problem compared to what’s going on right now. I know us Japanese are strong people and we can and will rebound from this disaster and rebuild. Look at how far the country has come since World War II. I have much faith in the strength and determination of our people. Even in this time of tragedy I am still and will always be proud to be Japanese.
